Carol currently serves as Executive Producer and head of Development for SD Entertainment. She is responsible for the acquisition and development of new intellectual properties and guiding them through the production process to completion. Prior to joining SD, Carol served as Executive Producer and head of the Entertainment Division of the Hasbro Properties Group. Here, she produced numerous television shows and direct-to-video movies, based on the toy company’s legendary brands, including Transformers, GI Joe, My Little Pony, Action Man, Tonka and CandyLand. From 1996-1999, she served as Senior Vice President of Programming and Development for Fox Kids Worldwide, then the #1 children’s’ television network. In that capacity, Carol was responsible for 19 hours of original programming every week, including such hits as Power Rangers, Spiderman, X-Men and Goosebumps. At Hearst Animation, Carol produced two series, Phantom 2040 and the latest revival of the legendary Flash Gordon. Earlier, Carol was Vice-President of Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television, where she produced Fudge and Harry and the Hendersons, and was involved in the development and production of ER, Animaniacs, Tiny Toon Adventures, Back to the Future and Fievel’s American Tales. She earlier worked on the feature side of Amblin, on films ranging from Land Before Time to Arachnophobia. In the 80s, Carol worked as a theatrical producer and won three Drama-Logue awards for outstanding production of the year. |
