Davis Doi

In 2002 – Joined SD Entertainment as Director.

In 1997 Davis became the Supervising Producer and Head of Studio Operations of Hanna-Barbera Productions.  In 1999, the studio merged with Warner Bros.  Animation and Davis continued to produce, write, and direct four “Scooby Doo” Direct to Home Video Features, including; “Scooby Doo on Zombie Island.”

In 1998-2001 Davis was Supervising Producer, Co-Writer and Director of 4 Scooby-Doo Direct to Video Features at Hanna-Barbera Cartoons, INC./Warner Bros. Animation.

Davis continued to produce and direct a number of series and specials for Hanna-Barbera Productions.  Shows include: “Midnight Patrol” (BBC and Syndication), “Capitol Critters” (Primetime series for Steven Bochco Productions-ABC TV), “Yogi the Easter Bear” (TV Special), “The Town Santa Forgot” (Primetime Christmas Special for NBC), “Swat Kats” (Cartoon Network), “What a Cartoon” – Shorts Program (Cartoon Network) and “Jonny Quest” (Cartoon Network and TNT).  He also was Supervising Producer for the Cartoon Shorts Program.  20-seven minute shorts for the Cartoon Network, including his own, “Awfully Lucky”.

Davis started his producing career at CBS Television in 1988 on the series “Raggedy Ann & Andy”.  He returned to the Hanna-Barbera Studios to produce, “Timeless Tales” a series of Direct to Video fairy tales for Hallmark Entertainment.  Also an Art Director for 13 half hours of, “Garbage Pail Kids”.

In 1986, he left Hanna-Barbera for a brief stint at Marvel Productions and later the same year became a Creative Director for SEPP Inter-Licensed owner of “The Smurfs”.

He became the supervisor of Model Department in 1985.  During this period, Davis was a member of Development Team illustrating show presentations for Hanna-Barbera Productions.

In 1980, he joined Hanna-Barbera productions’ Model Department.  He was a character designer and Unit Head for numerous Saturday morning shows.  Credits include: “The Flintstones”, “The Smurfs”, “Richie Rich”, “The Jetsons”, and “Space Ghost”.

Davis Doi began his animation career in 1978 as an Assistant Animator for Ralph Bakshi’s feature films, “Lord of the Rings” and “American Pop”.
