Cynopsis

December 5, 2005 - The My Little Pony holiday mini-film My Little Pony: A Very Minty Christmas (44 min) makes its TV debut today on Disney Channel at 11a and on December 10 on Toon Disney. This past October the movie was released in theaters for a limited time, screening as a weekend matinee nationwide.  The mini-movie theatrical release was part of an agreement between Hasbro Properties Group and Kidtoon Films, and the film made its way to theaters via Screenvision digital network. 

The Hasbro and Paramount Home Entertainment movie is also be available on DVD and a sound track on CD, the latter of which is part of a licensing deal with the Hasbro Properties Group and Genius Products.  Related toys include a Singing Minty plush from Hasbro and a bath set from Cosrich. On the publishing side, HarperCollins is slated to release A Very Minty Christmas reusable sticker book, Bendon Publishing will release coloring and activity books and Tokyopop will publish A Very Minty Christmas story as part of its Jr. Cine-Manga imprint.  The recently formed Hasbro Properties Group is the intellectual property development unit of Hasbro.
